ArkClaw Multi-Device Sync

Start on your phone, continue on your laptop. ArkClaw's cloud architecture makes device switching seamless β€” here is how to set it up.

ArkClaw Guide Updated March 2026

// Why this works

QClaw and DuClaw store data on the local device β€” switch devices and you start fresh. ArkClaw's assistant lives in ByteDance's cloud: every device is just a window into the same persistent entity. Same memory, same ongoing tasks, same conversation history β€” regardless of which device you are on.

Step 1 Enable real-time sync

  • Go to Settings β†’ Sync on your primary device
  • Switch sync mode from Manual to Real-time
  • Status should show "Real-time sync: On"
Default is Manual: ArkClaw does not enable real-time sync automatically. This step is required β€” it is the most common reason sync "doesn't work" for new users.

Step 2 Add more devices

  • Install the ArkClaw client on your phone, tablet, or second computer
  • Sign in with the exact same account β€” same phone number or email
  • Wait a few seconds for history to populate
  • On the new device, also check Settings β†’ Sync β†’ confirm Real-time is enabled

Verify Quick test

On your phone, send: "Remember that I prefer oat milk in my coffee"
On your laptop, ask: "What kind of milk do I prefer?"
A correct answer confirms real-time sync is working end-to-end.

Troubleshooting

Messages from one device don't appear on another
Check that both devices have Real-time sync enabled (not just one). Try a manual sync trigger in Settings. Log out and back in to re-establish the sync connection.

Sync fails on corporate network or VPN
Enterprise networks often block cloud sync endpoints. Switch to mobile data or a personal hotspot to test. If it works on personal data, the corporate network is blocking ArkClaw β€” contact IT to whitelist the relevant endpoints.
