Step 1 Register an account
- Visit the ArkClaw official site (link in the resources page)
- Create an account and complete phone verification
- Complete identity verification as required by ByteDance security policy
- Select a plan — the personal tier works for most individual users
Plan selection: Start with the personal plan. You can upgrade later if you need more concurrent task capacity.
Step 2 Cloud initialisation
- Follow the setup wizard after registering
- Select a server region — choose the one geographically closest to you for lowest latency
- Set language to Chinese and timezone to Asia/Shanghai (or your local timezone)
- Install the base Skill packs for your main use cases
- Initialisation is complete when the dashboard shows your assistant as "Online"
Timezone critical: Set this correctly now. It determines when scheduled tasks fire. An incorrect timezone is the most common cause of tasks running at the wrong time.
Step 3 Verify multi-device sync
ArkClaw's core value is seamless cross-device continuity. Test it now:
- Download the ArkClaw client on a second device (phone, tablet, or another computer)
- Log in with the same account credentials
- Send a test message on device one — confirm it appears in the conversation history on device two
- Verify Settings → Sync shows "Real-time sync: On"
Sync not working? Manually trigger a sync from Settings. If issues persist, check whether your network is blocking the ArkClaw cloud endpoints — some corporate networks or VPNs can interfere.
