Multi-device sync
Once you're set up across devices, ArkClaw makes context portable:
- Enable "Real-time sync" in Settings β Sync on every device
- Test by starting a conversation on your phone and continuing on your laptop
- Memory, ongoing tasks, and configuration all sync automatically
- If sync lags, trigger a manual sync from Settings
Scheduled automation Background tasks
This is where ArkClaw's cloud architecture pays off β tasks run on ByteDance's infrastructure regardless of whether any of your devices are active:
- Go to Automation Centre β New Task
- Set trigger: time-based (daily 7am) or event-based
- Define the action: what ArkClaw should do
- Save β Activate β status should show "Active"
Common automations: Daily news digest, competitor price monitoring, periodic data collection, automated content generation β all run without you.
Task chaining Workflows
Multiple tasks can be chained into workflows β for example:
- Collect data β Process into report β Push notification to your phone
- Monitor a metric β Alert if threshold exceeded β Log to spreadsheet
- Daily scrape β Summarise β Send digest at 8am
Build in stages: test each step individually before chaining them, so failures are easy to identify and fix.
